Three years ago, I co-created Belle Le Chic and Belle Model Co alongside my mum, a visionary businesswoman who inspires me every day. Belle Le Chic started as a fashion brand with a mission to empower girls and women of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds to feel confident, beautiful, and truly seen. Belle Model Co was born out of this same vision, providing aspiring models with opportunities to grow, showcase their talent, and embrace their individuality in an industry that often values perfection over authenticity. Together, these brands are about more than fashion and modeling—they’re about building confidence, celebrating diversity, and rewriting beauty standards.
My journey to this point wasn’t easy. After returning home from overseas at the age of 13, I faced relentless bullying in my small town. People told me I wasn’t thin enough, pretty enough, or good enough to succeed and I was constantly mocked. This bullying was faced in person and online and I faced real Mental Health issues such as Depression and Anxiety. I was judged entirely on my appearance, with words like "fat" and "not enough" haunting my daily life. I was also a victim of tall poppy syndrome, where people in my hometown couldn't fathom my achievements outside of my community. This forced me to transition to homeschooling, cut back on dancing and feel unsafe everyday.
But I refused to let those words and people define me. Instead, I transformed my pain into purpose. Fashion and modeling became my creative outlets and a way to reclaim my confidence. Together with my mum, I launched Belle Le Chic and Belle Model Co to create spaces where girls and women could feel empowered, celebrated, and supported. I now have launched my platform - For Every Beautiful Body - to expand these messages into a workable and accessible platform to be the person and guiding light I always needed. These brands are about more than clothes, competitions or runway shows, they’re about embracing who you are and knowing your worth. Today, I’m proud to see all brands thriving as platforms for empowerment, representation, and change.
